European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for ForeignAffairs José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels on Thursday 16th May.
The teachers’ union, Gibraltar NASUWT, has given the Government until Thursday 9th May to either accept its pay adjustment claim or offer a “credible counterproposal”. The union says that it will initiate a process of “collective action” if this deadline is not adhered to.
The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo this afternoon received a letter setting out teachers' concerns and demands outside Number Six at the end of a demonstration organised by Gibraltar NASUWT.
