The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia has left for London today for a meeting of the Joint Ministerial Council (JMC) between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Governments of the different Overseas Territories.
The Director of Gibraltar House, Brussels, Daniel D’Amato, was pleased to accept the kind invitation of the Brussels Branch of the Royal British Legion to attend an Act of Remembrance organised yesterday at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery in Heverlee, Belgium.
Integrating into the Battlegroup of over 1,300 troops, this exciting deployment will teach the Royal Gibraltar Regiment (RG) soldiers a host of new skills and competencies that they can bring back and further develop their peers within I Company. The RG soldiers have taken on a plethora of different roles including Company Sergeant Major Headquarter Company (CSM HQ Coy) and Operations Warrant Officer (OPS WO).
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, has written to Foreign Secretary David Cameron and Home Secretary James Cleverly following the news of this morning’s UK Cabinet Reshuffle.
