The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
The Government has issued a statement following an issue which was ventilated on social media in "rude, abusive and unacceptable terms and on which the relevant school and teachers have the full support of the Department of Education and the Government."
The Government and the Department of Education say they will not tolerate any abuse of teachers, "in any form, be it direct verbal abuse or written abuse, including on social media".
