The GSD says that the sudden announcement that the Financial Secretary is standing down at the end of the summer “raises more questions than answers.”

AquaGib has released the following statement:
The fire that has been burning inside Powers Drive Tunnel has resulted in significant rockfall inside the tunnel which has come to light this afternoon. This has resulted in damage to AquaGib and GibElec infrastructure. This possibility had been considered a risk and as such planning has been in place over the last two days in order to safeguard water supply as much as possible.
The Government has extended the closing date for citizens to register their occupation of property in Gibraltar as required under the Register of Occupation Act 2021 “for a final time” to the 30th September 2022.
