The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
Ahead of the show this Saturday, organisers of the Gibraltar Music Festival have released a sitemap detailing the considerable changes that are being made to the Bayside Sports Complex in preparation for 10,000 music fans.
The new Main Entrance can be accessed from Winston Churchill Avenue, close to the Victoria Stadium's Pitch number 2. There is also a new site for the Radio Gibraltar Stage, which is being built on the tennis court.
Following a recent statement by Unite the Union expressing concern over the time frame of the investigation into the allegations of bullying made against Joanna Hernandez, the Opposition has commented on the Government’s lack of comment on the matter. The party insists that they expressed their own concerns ‘as to the manner in which the Government has decided to conduct this investigation and the amount of time it was taking the Government responded that the GSD was just being vindictive by raising these issues.’
Albert Isola, Minister for Financial Services, will this week be lead a delegation, comprising of financial services professionals with particular expertise in funds and asset management, to Hong Kong.
The visit is anchored around the Hedge Funds World Asia conference in Hong Kong at which Minister Isola will be giving an address. In addition, Minister Isola will be hosting a financial services lunch for some sixty professionals and engaging in a significant series of bilateral meetings with both the private and public sector in Hong Kong over a four day period. Private sector participants from Gibraltar, accompanying the Minister to Hong Kong, will also be attending the bilateral meetings that have been set up with, inter alia, law and accounting firms.
