The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
An incident earlier this month saw Guardia Civil Officers attempt to board the King of Morocco’s yacht during a patrol for drug smugglers and human traffickers. The Telegraph’s Madrid Correspondent, Fiona Govan reports that officers of the Spanish Paramilitary force approached King Mohammed VI and his entourage and their two speedboats and three jetskis, ‘to enquire about the identities and destination of those on board.’
The Chief Minister is in London today for a series of meetings including meetings with senior officials in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Mr Picardo is accompanied by the Chief Legal Adviser to the Government Michael Llamas QC.
The Gibraltar International Jazz Festival will be offering Jazz Workshops from Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd October at the John Mackintosh Hall, 308 Main Street.
They will be headed by Elie Massias, with the participation of Juan Galiardo on piano, Pedro Cortejosa on sax, David Leon on drums and percussion and Jose Lopez on double bass. Price will be £20 pounds per day or £50 for the three days.
