The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
Ahead of Thursday’s Convent Christmas Fair, the Governor’s wife Lady Dutton was today presented with a moped to raffle off at the event. Commenting on how it felt to be part of the event, which has become somewhat of a traditional kick off to the festive season in Gibraltar, Lady Dutton noted that she was extremely excited to have been a part of the organization, adding that this would officially mark the start of Christmas for her.
Representatives from both the Royal Gibraltar Police Association and the Gibraltar Defence Police Federation recently attended the Union Federal de Policia (UFPOL) Conference in Benidorm, Spain.
Officers investigating the road traffic collision which took place in the afternoon of Sunday the 23rd of November 2014 have now arrested a 24 year old male on suspicion of Dangerous Driving. He was later released on police bail. At the time of his arrest the man was no longer receiving hospital treatment.
