With a much better performance from the GFA, than during Saturday night’s friendly against the Faroe Islands, Estonia’s national team yesterday beat the home side 2 – 0 at the Victoria Stadium.
The match marked former Stoke and Chester Defender Danny Higginbotham’s last ever football game. He was met with a standing ovation from the crowd as he departed the pitch in the last half of the match, to make way for the GFA’s Jamie Robba.
Coinciding with tomorrow’s World Book Day celebrations, the Ministry of Culture has purchased £6000 worth of new books for the John Mackintosh Hall Library, including adult fiction, adult non-fiction and children’s fiction.
Gibraltar’s National Team will take on Estonia tonight at the Victoria Stadium as they continue to push towards the challenge of the UEFA Euro Qualifiers. Following Saturday’s defeat against the Faroe Islands tonight’ s line up has seen some slight changes with Anthony Hernandez moving out of the reserves and into the final line up.
