The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
A local man has been sentenced to three years in prison for False Imprisonment and several assaults against his former partner.
Michael Menez, 25, of Naval Hospital Hill, was sentenced at the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon, after pleading Guilty to four counts of Common Assault and one count of False Imprisonment.
The GSD have issued a statement questioning “what resolution is being found to the issues facing Blue ID/Civilian Registration card holders” at the border.
