The Government has announced the signing on the 25th of April of the extension of the contract of Companies House. The Chief Secretary, Ernest Gomez, signed the agreement at No 6 Convent Place in the presence of the Chief Minister and Michael Llamas QC (Chief Legal Adviser) with David Faria and Bruno Goutaland de Greysier on behalf of Companies House Gibraltar.

Following a Government Manifesto Commitment to reform the medical regulation system within Gibraltar, the statutory regulatory body for doctors in Gibraltar, the Medical Registration Board, was asked to look into the feasibility of regulatory reform. The GSLP-Liberal Part promised to outsource to the GMC the assessments of doctors of licences to practice. They also insisted that they would make the GMC the regulatory body for the medical profession, in Gibraltar.
As the first step in the process of change, the Board will meet with all GHA doctors on Thursday, in order to present its findings to them and to discuss it recommendations and outline pathways for the future.
