The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
A new University of Gibraltar study undertaken at the Gorham’s Cave Complex UNESCO World Heritage Site has shown that Crag Martins wintering in Gibraltar show remarkable faithfulness to the caves in which they roost. It is the first time that such a high degree of faithfulness within a roost has been demonstrated in birds over successive years.
The Musicians Association of Gibraltar (MAG) says it is concerned about the cancellation of all of the gigs taking place at a venue in Ocean Village due to “a few complaints”. MAG says this venue has been “working very well” with many of its members, “providing both locals and tourists with top entertainment using the talent available in Gibraltar.” The group says that, unfortunately, the venue had to end the live shows in fear of further complaints which could have further repercussions.
At around 07:30 today, the Royal Gibraltar Police commenced a chase at sea with a suspect RHIB. The RHIB was first spotted at Emerson’s Place by an RGP land patrol. The RGP Marine Section then took over and immediately deployed to the area in order to intercept the RHIB. There followed a high speed pursuit in the waters off the western side. During this time, bales were constantly being thrown from the RHIB.
