The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
Group 2000 dramatics group today presented the Governor with a cheque for £400 to go towards the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. £400 was raised by the group through ticket sales of their recent presentation ‘We’ll Be Home for Christmas’. The event featured poetry and photographs from the First World War, drawing in an impressive audience of over 75 people.
Echoing the GFSB’s protest against ‘a private company being allowed to organise a New Year’s Eve event at the Tercentenary Sports Hall, without having to bear the same rent burden as bars and restaurants’ the GSD has called upon the Government to disclose publically how much the hire of the hall to Rock Royale Events was, on New Year’s Eve.
As the festive season draws to a close, arrangements are well underway for the organisation of this evening's Three King’s Cavalcade, organised by the Cavalcade Committee. The Gibraltar Cultural Services have been working closely with the committee to ensure that once again sweets are distributed at the event.
