The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
Officers of HM Customs disrupted an attempt to export cigarettes from the area of Mons Calpe Road yesterday. A Spanish registered jet-ski was intercepted as it approached the coastline and the two occupants fled the scene out of British Gibraltar Territorial Waters. Customs retrieved 10,000 cigarettes (50 cartons) from the sea in Waterport basin.
