Responding to the Opposition’s statement on the Government cutting down trees to accommodate a habitat for Barbary Partridges to be sent from Morocco, the Government has insisted that full consultation was made with all parties, and the programme was embarked upon as part of the Government's ongoing attempt to conserve the Barbary partridge population on the Rock.
Type 23 Frigate HMS Montrose arrives in Gibraltar tomorrow following a seven-month operational deployment within the Mediterranean and Gulf regions.
In one of her most recent operational tasks HMS Montrose has been working alongside warships from Denmark and Norway to carry out escort and protection duties of two merchant vessels who are transporting chemicals from Syria for onward destruction, as part of Operation RECSYR.
Gibraltar’s biggest charity hair cut-a-thon will aim to collect sponsorship funds for the GBC open Day Fund. All the hair cut during the afternoon will be donated to The Little Princess Trust in the UK, which makes and provides real hair wigs for children suffering from hair loss due to cancer or alopecia.
