The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
Thirty-year old Spanish national Sergio MUNIZ GARRIDO of La Linea, Spain, was this morning sentenced to two weeks imprisonment suspended for six months and a £300 fine. In addition he will have to pay £734 in compensation.
A thirty-eight year old Spanish national Francisco Ismael LARA GALLARDO was yesterday 17th January 2013 sentenced in the Magistrates Court after admitting a burglary charge. The case was investigated by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department.
The burglary took place on the 18th of November 2012 when LARA GALLARDO burgled the Bridge Bar and Grill at Ocean Village stealing an unknown number of empty money bags.
The Gibraltar Electricity Authority would like to apologise for any inconvenience to the public on account of the power outage that is on-going this Thursday 4th July 2013 affecting most districts. The outage occurred at approximately 0835hrs.
At present there are still a number of areas in central town and parts of the south district without power.
A Thirty-year old Spanish national has been arrested and charged with burglary following a break in at The Landings, a restaurant at Queensway Quay. The break-in allegedly took place on the 3rd of July 2013.
Officers of an Area Response Team arrested Sergio MUNIZ GARRIDO of La Linea, Spain, born on the 24/04/83, shortly after the report of the burglary was received.
