music festivalOrganisers of this year’s Gibraltar Music Festival are giving the public an opportunity to vote for the local acts that they wish to see perform on the main stage.

GBC claims that the performers in the running include popular band Headwires, This Side Up, Metro Motel, Adrian Pisarello, Paragon, Surianne Dalmedo and Hollie Buhagiar. Three of these acts will be chosen to open for Emeli Sande, as well as other internationally renown acts.

Aug 19 - Feetham Praises Law Enforcement Agencies for Work During Demonstration

protestFollowing yesterday’s protest by the Spanish Fishermen, Leader of the Opposition Daniel Feetham has congratulated the RGP, GDP, Royal Navy Squadron and Customs, as well as all others involved in managing the demonstration.

He added, ‘these were difficult circumstances and yet they were dealt with in the best traditions of British policing namely in a calm, safe, dignified but effective manner.’
