Feb 28 - Three Arrested on Cannabis Charges Following RGP Camp Bay Operation

rgpEarly yesterday morning, RGP Officers challenged five men acting suspiciously in the area of Camp Bay when they realised that they were in possession of five bales of Cannabis Resin. Three of the men, namely Juan Diego Araujo De Vera, aged 40 of No.15 Stanley Buildings, Francisco Jesus Guerrero Navas, aged 23 of La Linea and Mohamed Tarik Baraka Taher, aged 39 of Ceuta were arrested on suspicion of Possession of a Controlled Drug.

Feb 28 - RGP Officers Injured in Sea Chase

rgpYesterday afternoon three RGP vessels were caught in a chase with two RHIBs making their way into the bay, heading North. One of the RGP vessels applied sirens and beacons and maintained an interception course and saw that the two RHIBs were navigating together side by side at a fast speed. At this stage the 10-meter RHIB changed course and began went on a collision course to the RGP vessel, which had to take evasive action in order to avoid the collision.
