It’s January 2015 - a brand new year and hopefully some brand new goals in mind. We’ve all finished eating as much as humanly possible, drinking more alcohol than we would normally and attending the most social functions of the year – we’re burnt out when January comes along. You’ve had two weeks off work (if you’ve been lucky) and now it’s back to the daily grind. If you enjoy your job then maybe you’ve been replying to the odd work-related email over the holidays and now you’re ready to get back to your desk and get things done. If not, then this is the most depressing month of the year for you…
Newly commissioned officer Captain Julian Valverde handed over his pacing stick to WO1 Dean Castrey who is the new Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment.
Captain Valverde, who has served 21 years in the Regiment, has been the RSM for the past 11 months. He was recently selected for a Late Entry Commission and his new post within the Regiment will be as Officer Commanding Headquarters Company.
Gibraltar Cultural Services is once again holding a competition to select a Logo for the Gibraltar Spring Festival 2015.
The competition is open to all ages. Entrants may submit up to two original works. Entries must be submitted in an A4 size on paper or card, indicating whether the orientation is ‘portrait’ or ‘landscape’.
