The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
The Ministry of Transport has announced that it has worked together with local transport company Citibus to assist them in replacing and registering a number of its ageing buses with newer and more environmentally friendly vehicles.
His Excellency the Governor, Lieutenant General Sir Ben Bathurst, and the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, co-chaired a meeting of The Gibraltar Contingency Council (GCC) today. Gibraltar Health Authority has launched an awareness campaign to highlight the importance of staff being ‘bare below the elbows’ in clinical areas as part of basic infection control practices. In such surroundings, healthcare workers should abstain from wearing watches, jewellery or long sleeved clothing below the elbows and have short unvarnished nails. This is because harmful bacteria and viruses can remain in jewellery or under fingernails even after careful hand washing.
