The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
The final Week of the Summer Sports & Leisure Programme will see David Bruce Regional Head of NatWest, sponsors of the Summer Sports & Leisure programme, visit various activities included in this year’s programme and meet Leaders on both Sports Train and the Stay and Play to discuss how this year’s programme has gone and if it has met its targets. The tour will take place on Thursday 21st August and will start at the Gibraltar Yacht Club at 9.30am.
Gibraltar’s New Movement is Gibraltar based pressure group aimed at fighting Gibraltar’s cause against ‘bullying and harassment’ from the Spanish Government. The group has no leadership hierarchy, as all members are considered equal.
The Gibraltar International Bank has received approval in principle from the Financial Services Commission (FSC) to its application for a licence. Generally a schedule of conditions is attached which the Executive team will now work with to meet before the opening of the Bank. The conditions typically relate to operating systems, staffing levels, premises and compliance/operating structures.
This year the Gibraltar music Festival will host four stages that will provide more that 13 hours of live entertainment. More and more local and Spain based bands have expressed interest in the festival, and an extensive line up of these acts has been released.
