The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
With a deadline of October 25th, the Ministry of Culture is reminding, individuals to sign up for the 40th annual Gibraltar International Art Exhibition. The The competition is open to anyone aged 16 and over as at 1st November 2013. A maximum of two paintings and two sculptures may be submitted by each artist. Works must be original and not previously entered competitively.

The Gibraltar Finance Centre Department attended, exhibited and presented at the Invest ’13 conference hosted in Geneva on 18th and 19th September. The Gibraltar Finance team, made up of, Philip Canessa and Michael Ashton, were joined by a large industry representation organised through GFIA. The event is considered the prime conference for the funds industry in Geneva.
During the course of the 2 days Gibraltar had a double frontage display stand at the event and Philip Canessa addressed the conference, “Gibraltar – a unique AIFMD jurisdiction within the EU”. In addition Philip was interviewed by Nicolette De Joncaire a journalist with L'AGEFI (https://www.facebook.com/events/552660051459806/)
Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Ivor Lopez presented The Governor and Commander-in-Chief with a Ceremonial Pith Helmet during his final official visit to the Regiment last night.
The Governor took the opportunity to visit the whole battalion before the Regiment’s upcoming deployment to Exercise Jebel Sahara. The visit kicked off started with a visit to HQ Company in Devils Tower Camp, before moving onto Buffadero Training Camp where he witnessed I and B Company training and watched the Band and Corps of Drums while they rehearsed.
