The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
As part of the Reset, Restart and Recover post-Covid plans for the Gibraltar Health Authority (GHA) the Government has announced changes to the structure of how the GHA is to be held to account going forward. As previously announced, the Minister for Health shall no longer be the Chair of the GHA Board, and different accountability arrangements for the running of the GHA have been implemented to depoliticise the running of the GHA.

Day 7 tests already scheduled for Saturday 12 February will be done at the COVID- 19 Rapid Testing facility. Please follow the instructions received by text message and attend the facility specified in the appointment.
The GSD says that it welcomes the news that the McGrail Inquiry has now finally been convened. The party says this was an Inquiry which the Chief Minister promised in July 2020 would be convened within “weeks” and has only seen the appointment of the Commissioner last Friday.
