The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
The GFA has today apologised for an error during last week’s match between Gibraltar XI and Hibernian FC, that saw a number of spectators moved from the Main Stand, for which they paid £10 to sit in, to the East stand, where ticket prices had been set at £8.
The GFA insists that the error was caused by over-selling of the Main stand tickets. They noted that spectators made to sit in the east stand despite having paid Main stand prices will be refunded. The GFA will then provide information on where and when the refund can be collected.
Childline’s Annual Treasure Hunt will this year take place on Friday 26th July. Teams will assemble at 6:30pm on that day at Le Bateau in Queensway Quay where there will be live music, raffles, a BBQ and a prize for the best dressed team. Groups can wear a fancy dress of their choice or “go French” with a beret, a striped top and a compulsory baguette!
The GFA national team will this evening play against Charlton Athletic, the London based Championship side. The national squad will be hoping for a better result after last week’s defeat against the Scottish side Hibernian. The match kicks off at 8pm at the Victoria Stadium.
