The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
The Government is proceeding with a permit system for EU hauliers to continue to be able to operate into Gibraltar following the new requirements imposed as from today for Gibraltar hauliers to be able to operate in Spain.
The GSD has said that, in circumstances where the UK has completely removed the requirement for testing for those who are fully vaccinated and given the high rate of vaccination in Gibraltar and plus the fact that we are a jurisdiction which currently has the issue under control it is “unnecessary that we should continue to impose the need for paid testing at a designated location on arrival here.”
