The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
For the second day in a row this week, the Frontier Queues to leave Gibraltar have been horrendous. The RGP's latest tweet at around 13:40 states that the queues are "Tail end by Winston Churchill Avenue. Estimated time: 4 hours".
Yesterday evening, around 19:00 there was an incident in Morrison's Supermarket here in Gibraltar. The Royal Gibraltar Police were called to the scene to try to resolve the issue, and reportedly several individuals were arrested at the time.
A spokesperson from the RGP has issued the following statement:
At 1040hrs today as a result of a fire reported to police, officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police together with the City Fire Brigade attended to Portmore House, situated in Glacis Estate.
With Friday afternoon upon us, at four o'clock the RGP reported a 2-hour queue from vehicles travelling into Spain. The current frontier queue surpasses Devils Tower Road with the Eastside Reclamation holding area currently in operation.
