The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
Following the Government’s statement yesterday, insisting that Opposition Leader Daniel Feetham was ‘obsessed with the Joanna Hernandez case’ the party has said that it will not be deterred ‘by this attempt by the Chief Minister to deflect attention from the central issue’.
Feetham insisted that ‘there is significant concern across the community about the manner in which this investigation is being conducted. He went on to insist that there is a sharp contrast with the way in which the GSLP-Liberals used Ms Hernandez for political ends in Opposition
Extensive works to turn the Victoria Stadium into an appropriate venue for the Gibraltar Music Festival this Saturday are still underway. As the countdown to the day runs thin, the GMF organisers have today released the timetable for the event.
Ahead of the Royal Navy’s flagship annual deployment, Operation Cougar, Naval vessels HMS Bulwark, RFA Wave Knight and RFA Lyme Bay are spending 48 hours in Gibraltar. Cougar is an amphibious deployment to areas of the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern region.
HMS Bulwark is at the forefront of the deployment, carrying Royal Marines, aircraft and vehicles. She is an assault ship with the primary role of projecting Royal Marines across the beach in an amphibious operation.
