Following heavy rainfall last night St. Joseph’s First & Second Schools have experienced substantial flooding. A Government statement thanked staff for their professionalism this morning, ‘ensuring that all the children remained safe until arrangements had been made to send them home’ following the advice of the Fire Brigade.

1 person arrest for the offence of concealment of tobacco in a motor vehicle.
1 person arrested for the offence of disorderly conduct whilst intoxicated.
8 persons arrested on a strength of warrants.
A local man pleaded guilty to several cocaine charges at the Supreme Court this morning.
