    A total of 17,954 tests have been carried out so far in the frontline, targeted and  systematic sampling. This is included in the above figures.

Aug 02 - FCO Summons Spanish Ambassador

fcoThe Government has this evening welcomed the summoning of the Spanish Ambassador in London to the Foreign Office this afternoon in order to protest about the disproportionate checks being conducted by the Spanish authorities at the frontier and to seek a reassurance that these will not occur again this weekend.

Both parties believe that the policy of the Spanish Government is out of place in the European Union.

Aug 02 - Gibraltar Fire Fighter Trainees Complete Development Programme

ff trainingFour Trainee Fire Fighters from the City Fire Brigade have successfully completed a 12 week Fire Fighter Development Programme at the Fire Service College at Moreton-in- Marsh, Gloucestershire, UK. The trainees, Eric Abudarham, Nicholas McMahon, Jordan Perez and John Pratts took part in a Passing out Parade and Firefighting display, which was held at the Fire Service College on Thursday 1 August at which the Chief Fire Officer, Mr Guillermo Mauro and the trainees’ families were present.
