Unite the Union says it is extremely pleased with the announcement made in Parliament today by the Chief Minister regarding job security in the MoD and the Gibraltar Regiment for the foreseeable future and, more importantly, beyond the end of the Global Agreement in 2017.
The Government says it is pleased to announce that, in line with its manifesto commitment on eco-friendly buses, the first of twenty new route buses has arrived in Gibraltar. The new buses will be phased in over a period of three months and will replace the present fleet.
This is the full text of a speech delivered by the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia, at the opening of a symposium on "Self-determination, devolution and independence in the 21st century" which started this morning at the Garrison Library.
