Aug 12 - Government Condemns Guardia Civil Incident
Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar has transmitted its deepest concern to the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office over the incident in BGTW last weekend involving a Guardia Civil vessel attempting to exercise executive action over a Gibraltar pleasure craft. A statement by No.6 has asked the FCO to take immediate and firm action on this matter.
Aug 12 - Government Supports Natwest Employees Following Announcement on Redundancies
Following the recent announcement that Natwest will be making cuts across a number of branches, the Government of Gibraltar has offered its support to those employees who are to be made redundant.
Aug 12 - RGP Reiterates Sandy Bay Parking Restrictions
Following the introduction of traffic lights to allow parking on parts of Sir Herbert Miles Road it has been noted by the RGP that cars are occasionally parking indiscriminately, particularly at weekends.
The force insists that the parking arrangements are in place in signed areas between 11am and 9pm in order to assist users of Sandy Bay by providing additional parking spaces.
