The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
This morning, the Minister responsible for Housing and the University of Gibraltar, Pat Orfila, accompanied by Chief Secretary Glendon Martinez, inaugurated the new counters at the Housing Department. These soundproof counters will enable tenants to discuss matters in the strictest confidence and provide reassurance that all issues reported will remain between the housing officers and themselves. Additionally, tenants can now conveniently pay their monthly rents at these counters.

A local man has today been charged with 12 counts of sexual offences against children. Clayton BUSTO, 41, was arrested in June 2023 by the Royal Gibraltar Police’s Safeguarding Team, following a report made to the police.
