The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
As from tomorrow 29th March, COVID-19 PCR travel certificates will no longer be issued by the GHA’s Department of Public Health. Travellers who specifically require a PCR test certificate with a QR code to travel should approach a private service provider. A reduced fee of £60 will be applied to GHA card holders.
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, leaves for London this afternoon to address the All Party Parliamentary Group on Gibraltar tomorrow, Tuesday. He will update the Group on the latest progress of the UK/EU negotiations on a future Treaty governing Gibraltar's relationship with the EU.
The Government says it is grateful to Carpe Diem Running Club and the Gibraltar Amateur Athletics Association for the donation of £2,700. These funds were received by the Office of Civil Contingencies, who are coordinating the arrival and stay of a number of refugees from Ukraine who have been made welcome in Gibraltar. The money will be used to purchase school uniforms, educational material and any other products the families may need to make their stay in Gibraltar as comfortable as possible.
His Excellency the Governor, Vice Admiral Sir David Steel, on the recommendation of the Gibraltar Police Authority and in consultation with the Chief Minister, has today re-appointed Mr Richard Ullger as Commissioner of Police.
