The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
The GSD has received the results of a Staff Morale Survey conducted by a doctor or doctors within St Bernard’s Hospital. The results were apparently compiled from anonymous responses collected over two days in October, from 31 contract or permanent doctors and surgeons at the hospital. All the doctors available on those days were apparently approached and all doctors approached responded.
The Minister for Public Sector Efficiency and Economic Development, Joe Bossano, has responded to the statements by the GSD in respect of the meeting Mr Bossano held with the committee of the GGCA and which they have accurately reflected in a Bulletin to members.
The Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party (GSLP) is today celebrating its fortieth anniversary and five years in Government since it won the 2011 General Election with the Liberal Party of Gibraltar. The party is celebrating with a function today for 500 members and guests at the Tercentenary Hall. The party says there wasn’t another venue big enough for the numbers wanting to attend.
