Below follows a joint statement on the progress of the EU-UK Agreement in respect of Gibraltar:
European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo met in Brussels on Friday 12 April.
Officers investigating a sexual assault upon a local woman which was alleged to have taken place in the area of Goole House, Glacis Estate, at around 9.30pm on Sunday the 11th of September 2016, say they are keen to speak to a male who was in the area at the time. This person may be able to assist police with inquiries.
The GGCA Committee is supporting the GGCA President, Wendy Cumming, in her upcoming 3 Peaks Challenge for RifCom, a local charity. RifCom’s main aim is to make a positive contribution to the impoverished region of the Rif Mountains in Northern Morocco and projects and initiatives are undertaken in education, health, sport, cultural exchange and environmental conservation. The GGCA has pledged a £350 donation to this cause.
A Young Adults Exchange Project between Finland and Gibraltar took place recently and its purpose is to improve active citizenship, social inclusion and equal opportunities for young adults who are recovering from mental illness.
Officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police have arrested four men on suspicion of kidnapping. The arrest took place yesterday evening after officers observed how a 19 year old local man was forced into a locally registered car on Line Wall Road.
