The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).

The Collector of Customs recently presented certificates to officers who had successfully qualified as single engined RHIB coxswains. As part of their development training, officers will now progress onto vessels with twin and triple engines. Members of the Department of the Environment’s Marine Protection Section also participated in this training.
Gibtelecom will be carrying out essential infrastructure works at one of its technical sites in the Four Corners/Frontier/British Lines area. These essential works are necessary to improve service in the area and will be carried out on Friday 14 August 2015 between 01:00 and 06:00.
