May 17 - Gibraltar Compete in 14th Darts Mediterranean Cup
Minister for Sport, Steven Linares, yesterday sent his best wishes to the Gibraltar Darts Association who are competing in the 14th Darts Mediterranean Cup in Ankara, Turkey this week.

The Special Olympics European Football Week with support from UEFA Respect is getting under way in Gibraltar from May 18th to May 26th 2013. More than 15 athletes from Special Olympics Gibraltar will participate in two events.
Anne Risso of Special Olympics Gibraltar explained that the week ‘aims to bring together the entire European Football community, in order to create more opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities in football. Across Europe more than 50,000 athletes will participate in 400 events across 50 countries supported by UEFA and National Football Federations and Clubs. 37 National Football Federations and more than 60 Football Clubs across Europe including Global Football Team Ambassadors Celtic FC, Tottenham Hotspur and Serie A Inter Milan. Italian Serie A and B, Polish Extraklasa, Hungarian NB I - OTP Bank Liga, Duch Juplier League and Finish Veikkausliiga will also support European Football Week and hold clinics and training sessions for players with intellectual disabilities’.
Steven Linares Minister for Sport has sent messages of best wishes to the Eagles, Grammarians and Hawks Hockey Clubs participating in their respective European Cups later this month.
The Opposition Spokesman for Sports and Leisure, the Hon Edwin Reyes, has sent messages wishing the very best of Gibraltarian luck in all their competitions, to the two men’s and two ladies’ local hockey teams who will be participating in the following International Competitions over the next few days:
This year’s Ladies Football Club Tournament fixtures will be ass follows; on Sunday 5th May Manchester United FC will play the College Cosmos at 6pm. The next round will see College Europa play Manchester United FC on Wednesday 8th May at 6:15pm.
