Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Today marks three years since the launch of YGTV. The news website started in November 2011, whilst campaigning for the general election was in full swing. Since then, its small, hardworking team has established a reputation for fast and reliable reporting.
A new plaque commemorating nine Gibraltarians of Indian extraction who died after the ship they were travelling on was torpedoed in September 1940 was unveiled this morning in the Parliament Lobby by the Chief Minster Fabian Picardo. The evacuees had set off for India aboard the SS Kemmendine.
