A suspect suitcase has been located in the Town Range area by the Magistrates Court. The RGP has cordoned off the area from St. Andrew’s Church and the EOD team has carried out a controlled explosion of the object. Police urge those travelling into the area to bear with them as safety is paramount.
The Government has claimed that, in an email communication to members of the GSD, the Leader of the Opposition has set out a number of “incorrect and untrue propositions”, many of which the Government says it has already previously corrected. Despite this, says Number 6, Mr Feetham again appears to believe that if he “repeats his lies often enough people will believe him.”
At next week’s session of Parliament, Opposition Spokesman for Health, Isobel Ellul-Hammond, will be asking the Minister for Health for an update on the manifesto commitments to a new Diabetes Strategy, an A&E specialist, a Stroke Unit, male and female only wards and when the GHA Review document will be published, seeing that the new GHA management structure is in place. The Opposition Spokesman will be requesting the hospital’s monthly mortality rates, a date for the publication of the GHA’s last three Annual Reports, the composition of the Community Nursing team and the sickness rate of GHA employees over the last two years.
