Oct 07 GSD Ask for Commonwealth Park Update
The GSD is today calling on the Government to issue a statement providing details of the progress on the Commonwealth Park project. The call comes amidst a number of reports received by the Opposition of a number of difficulties and setbacks being experienced on site, including problems relating to the proximity of the water table, burst mains pipes and other complications.
The Opposition is, for the avoidance of doubt, calling for Government to provide information as follows:
With a deadline of October 25th, the Ministry of Culture is reminding, individuals to sign up for the 40th annual Gibraltar International Art Exhibition. The The competition is open to anyone aged 16 and over as at 1st November 2013. A maximum of two paintings and two sculptures may be submitted by each artist. Works must be original and not previously entered competitively.
The Gibraltar Finance Centre Department attended, exhibited and presented at the Invest ’13 conference hosted in Geneva on 18th and 19th September. The Gibraltar Finance team, made up of, Philip Canessa and Michael Ashton, were joined by a large industry representation organised through GFIA. The event is considered the prime conference for the funds industry in Geneva.
