The equality rights group ERG-GGR is pleased to announce that this year Gibraltar will be celebrating its first ever official Pride event on Saturday 15th June. Doors open at 10pm until 5am. It is Pride and not just ‘gay Pride’ because it is a celebration of friendship and diversity right across all our adult community. It is inclusive, not exclusive and everyone is welcome.
The Government have issued the following statement:
Opposition Hypocrisy Palpable in Register Call
- Register cannot be opened in short time available;
- Opposition have left it until they decided to contest election to raise the point
- GSD call comes only after one of their most ardent supporters notices he is not registered
The following is statement on behalf of the PDP:
The PDP have had an initial read of the Report prepared by Dr Chris Tydeman and Indrani Lutchman. The electorate will recall that Dr Tydeman is in fact the same expert that criticised the British Government in April this year in a British Parliamentary Select Committee for failing to provide the necessary support to our RGP to allow them to patrol Gibraltar Territorial Waters.
