Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Government has this morning been briefed on the latest situation regarding water supply across Gibraltar. The advice received from the technical experts at AquaGib is that the present situation is relatively stable with only two areas in Gibraltar remaining affected by water shortage issues as a result of low stock levels at the AquaGib reservoir. These areas continue to be The Sanctuary and the upper area of Gardiner’s Road.
Sensory adaptations will be available throughout the fair period from Saturday 20th to Sunday 28th August 2022, from 7pm to 8.45pm, when lights will be switched off and sound minimised.
In addition, an ‘Easy Access Pass’ (the Pass) which can be used at any time will be available to persons of reduced mobility.
The ERG/AOP welcomes the Self-Determination for Gibraltar Group's decision to cancel the National Day firework displays. The group has called for clarification on whether accompanying London events that had been announced have also been "ruled out".
