Today has seen an additional 10,000 doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine arrive in Gibraltar having been flown from the UK by the RAF.

As the Omicron variant continues to spread across a number of countries, the Director of Public Health is advising anyone intending to travel outside Gibraltar during the coming weeks to “remain alert to the developing situation and take extra precautions.”
In response to the developing COVID-19 epidemiological situation around the world and on the advice of the Director of Public Health, the Government has amended its Civil Contingencies Emergency (Coronavirus) (Requirements on Entry into Gibraltar and Testing) Regulations. These have come into effect today, 10th December 2021.
The Government says that, as the new Omicron variant has been detected in the United Kingdom and possibly Gibraltar it is even more important that all passengers travelling by air are tested for COVID-19 soon after their arrival in Gibraltar. The Government says it is a requirement under the Civil Contingencies Emergency (Coronavirus) (Requirements on entry into Gibraltar and testing) Regulations.
