Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Twenty-five members from across Gibraltar’s Emergency Services, other responding agencies and the military recently completed the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP) Commanders’ Course. This course is designed for commanders from all three levels of command: Strategic, Tactical and Operational.
Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Ministry for Culture, hosted a stand for the first time, with support from members of the Gibraltar National Book Council, authors, poets, illustrators, and others working in the industry.
The Army’s U25 Men’s Hockey Team were in Gibraltar at the end of February to take the opportunity to play some competitive matches ahead of their Inter-Services tournament in Aldershot in March.
As part of the development of the Supported Employment Programme, staff from the Ministry of Equality, Employment, Culture and Tourism have successfully completed training offered by the British Association of Supported Employment (BASE).
