Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The European Citizens Action Service (ECAS) has been invited by the European Commission to provide additional comments on the delays at the land frontier between Gibraltar and Spain by 6th January 2014.
In an update provided by the RGP, the rock fall was discovered yesterday evening at approximately 7:45 pm. The fairly minor fall caused no damage or injuries.
The GSD Opposition says it welcomes the recent Government initiative to promote a ‘Small Business Saturday’, and notes that it will now be held again this weekend. The initiative, says the Opposition, no doubt “livens up” Main Street and provides fun to many families which is a good thing.
The Minister for Culture, Steven Linares, has congratulated Jamielee Randall on behalf of everyone in Gibraltar on reaching the Top 15 Finalists at the Miss International 2013 Pageant. Jamielee was one of 68 contestants who took part in the Pageant in Okinawa, Japan on Tuesday 17th December.
