The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
At about 04:45hrs on Monday 1st August, a 14 year-old boy was assaulted by about six adult men in the area of Referendum House. Prior to the assault, the boy had been chased by the group who were in a grey Audi A1 with black hexagon motifs around the door panels. The men attempted to rob the boy of his belongings before starting an assault in which the boy was kicked, punched and hit with a metal implement.

The GHA, in response to the ongoing global monkeypox outbreak, has secured further supplies of the smallpox vaccine, which to date has been offered in Gibraltar to close contacts of diagnosed cases of monkeypox as a post-exposure treatment.
His Excellency the Governor has welcomed the new Deputy Governor, Marc Holland, to Gibraltar. Mr Holland is a senior diplomat, most recently the United Kingdom’s Deputy Ambassador to Denmark.
