The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia has said that although Gibraltar prefers a treaty to govern our relationship with the European Union, there are fundamental red lines which the Government is not prepared to cross in order to achieve it. Dr Garcia was speaking in Brighton today at the annual party conference of the U.K. Liberal Democrats.
Gibraltar’s Jubilee Celebrations this Bank Holiday Monday are not purely restricted to the sea with the Flotilla. Down at Ocean Village visitors can enjoy face painting, bouncy castle action, drinks and food, and all whilst listening to a selection of fantastic tunes provided by Fresh Entertainment. The party is just warming up in preparation for the return of the Flotilla, which we have been informed, is now passing by Europa Point (a fantastic location to view the pageant and take some memorable pictures).
The Gibraltar Ocean Village Diamond Jubilee flotilla is now well underway. The boats are making their way to the southern tip of Gibraltar. 115 vessels left just under an hour ago and have been making their way across showing our support for the Diamond Jubilee.
YGTV’s reporters out in the Bay of Gibraltar are our eyes and ears in the Flotilla. So far all reports seem to indicate that everything is going well, despite the slight malfunction of the starter’s klaxon as Minister for Culture, Stephen Linares, launched the pageant on its journey around the Rock.
