Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture will be launching several initiatives in relation to the public library and art galleries. The aim is to promote the love of reading and books, and the work of Gibraltar’s artists and art galleries.
His Worship the Mayor, Mr Christian Santos, hosted a reception for the Gibraltar- Israel Chamber of Commerce (Gibrael), at the Mayor’s Parlour in celebration of the Jewish New Year.
Last month marked the official launch of the Gibraltar Digital Skill Academy, an institute set up to diversify from fixed curricula and offer a wide variety of different skills and qualifications to students already in full-time education, as well as the wider local community where tech skills are in high demand.
The Government has said it “strongly encourages” members of the public to exercise “civic consciousness and community responsibility” during National Day.
