European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
Since coming into office in 2011,the Chief Minister has made a donation to a local charity in lieu of sending out official Christmas cards. This year’s beneficiary is the Special Needs Action Group who, yesterday, were presented with a cheque by the Chief Minister at No.6 Convent Place.
With the emergence of the new Omicron variant in the UK, the Government says it is important that Gibraltar residents who travel to the UK and are subsequently identified by NHS Test and Trace as a close contact of a person with confirmed COVID-19 carry out the following actions:
The Government says it regrets to announce that it is “highly likely” that the first case of the new Omicron variant has been detected in Gibraltar, however, this will take another 24-48 hours to confirm.
