Aug 13 - Government Urges Spain to Work with Gibraltar on Fishing
Spanish press reports suggesting that Spain is to object to the EU over Gibraltarians fishing for tuna ‘in contravention of internationally agreed quotas’ have caused the Government to insist that they highly value protection of the environment and marine life, with particular emphasis on the recently dismissed complaints in relation to the artificial reef, bunkering activity in BGTW and the creation of the Eastside reclamation.
Aug 13 - A Level Results Due Tomorrow
Tomorrow, students will be able to collect A-Level results as from 8.00 am at their respective institution. Opening schools earlier will afford students the advantage of securing a university place given the time difference between the UK and Gibraltar.
Aug 13 - Gib Regiment Soldier Awarded Best Recruit
Royal Gibraltar Regiment soldier, Private Thomas Darby, 17, has been awarded the ‘Best Recruit’ following a successful completion of the Combat Infantryman’s Course at the Infantry Training Centre in Catterick, North Yorkshire.
