European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
The Deputy Chief Minister and Leader of the Liberal Party, Dr Joseph Garcia paid the following tribute:
“Charles Bruzon was a colleague and a friend. He was a good man. I had the pleasure to have known him for many years before he became involved in politics.
Officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police Safeguarding Unit investigating an allegation of Child Abduction by a Parent are keen to establish the whereabouts of Verena BOEGE, 36 years of age and her 5 year old son, Merlin FLORKOWSKI.
As a result of a Royal Gibraltar Police, Serious Crime Unit investigation, on Tuesday 16th April 2013, 45 year-old Marie Stewart, a British National, was arrested on suspicion of Fraud.
The PDP deeply regret the passing of Charles Bruzon. Gibraltar not only loses an important Parliamentarian, but a man who was extraordinarily generous and unselfish; who ultimately has demonstrated that the love he had for his community and fellow Gibraltarians had no bounds. We will all remember him fondly.
